This article is about the article is about the passage of the Trust Act in California. To go back In Arizona the state passed a law that basically give officers the right to look at a person that they suspect is immigrant arrest them on a minute charge, and hold them until they can be deported because they are a undocumented person. If the Trust Act is passed in California that means that if an undocumented person is arrested for a minor misdemeanor they cannot be held for several days until they are deported. It would also leave friends and family of that undocumented person in less of suspense of whether or not their love one will be returning home.

This is a sociological problem because the government is giving officers permission to racial profile. As we know race is a social construct and society keeps it up, they look at people and deem them as undocumented person solely based on their physical appearance. This is an inequality for the Hispanic race because officers judge them and arrest them on the spot for little crimes such as jaywalking. Violate their rights and hold them for several days without them contacting their families and then deporting them back to their countries.
