Upon making the statement, Hillary
Clinton did not offer any new evidence to defend her claims. It is said that in
order for there to be confirmation about Al Qaeda’s involvement, the F.B. I
would need to further investigate the matter, which could take months to
complete.
It seems the events that took place
that day have yet to be fully explained. This has left the Republicans in Congress
with questions concerning President Obama motives. They believe that he may be “playing
down possible terrorist involvement” because of the highly publicized re-election
campaign that has been going on.
The place in which Clinton chose to
make this statement is a region that has been infested with Islamic extremist,
which has led to a division in the country. Al Qaeda has “long operated in the
region.” Clinton spoke of the way these terrorist are now trying to “extend
their reach and their networks in multiple direction.”
These terrorist have taken over a
part of the country that is the size of France. There have been meetings held
to talk about military action being used in order to regain the control of
these overrun territories. President of France, Francois Hollande, made the statement
that, “We cannot stand by and allow terrorists to take over an entire
territory.”
I was interested to find out that
this “spontaneous eruption of violence” most likely stemmed from the video post
online about Mohammed that my earlier blog post was about.
