Blog 5 Disease in Asia Pacific

In the Asia Pacific region they are having more deaths caused by non -communicable diseases a year, than any other death.  A high level of deaths by diseases is on the rise, and it is growing every year.  In  2002 over 30 million people died from preventable diseases.  NCD deaths are substantially low compared to the number of deaths due to HIV/AIDS, but people are still trying to help out with the prevention of AIDS as well as help with the NCD deaths.  In 2004 about 60% of the deaths were preventable NCD deaths, and 29.9% of the other deaths were due the communicable disease.  Since a lot of Asia Pacific is developing countries it is hard for them to have a clean area in order to avoid these diseases.    These developing countries have various levels of health systems, which is not healthy for those who are sick.  They do not have enough protection in these countries in order to avoid future cases of NCD.  The outreach for a basic health system in these developing countries is still a challenge, which is what makes the death rate increase due to NCD.  These diseases could affect the everyday life of people, and the diseases include: tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and malaria.  All of these diseases though have been evidenced from Africa, so the government is more awake on how to act towards them.
I believe that the government needs to help make these countries a safer place because all of these diseases are preventable, yet they make up almost 60% of the deaths in Asia Pacific.  The developing countries do not have as safe as an environment as developed countries, therefor it puts people at this bigger risk of getting non- communicable diseases.  The rate of these deaths will not decrease until the government does something to take care of it.  We need to help these third world countries so that their death rate is not so high, and so that they can live in a safer environment.
