Blog#3. Water Crisis

Recently a normal average citizen of America just like the rest of us by the name of Doc Hendley came to visit the studentsof the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Doc explained to us just how important it was that every human had water. It was a basic and one of the greatest necessities for human survival on earth. As I took all of this brilliant and inspiring lecture in, I began to see that everyone around the world having clean water to drink was a huge necessity and should be considered a human right for people to have fresh clean water without having to go through wars to get it. The necessity of water affects every individual life more than anyone will ever know. It affects peace in a  country, political stability, and economic development. In the article “ Chreitien Says Pending Global Water Crisis Should be Taken Seriously, former Prime Minister Jean Chreitien of Canada states how devastating the future will look for people all over the world with the water supply growing scarce each and every year. The scarcity of water also poses conflicts in countries such as Africa and India due to wars over land and resources in which clean and fresh water is not easily found. With a continuous growth of population each and every year, every country will have to fend for themselves to keep a certain amount of fresh water in which this will help their people to survive. This water crisis is a very serious issue; just as the war to Iraq was supposedly begun because of oil, a world war III could possibly break out over the scarcity of precious water that is even more of value to the lives of every being on the entire planet.  There must be a solution as to how we server our water for all countries. America is in good shape as far as having fresh water to distribute to its citizens for everyday causes such as taking  showers, water for swimming pools, drinking water, and etc. Other countries Like Africa or more so people in the Middle East need our help so that they may have clean drinking water to help keep their kids and families healthy like ours. Having clean water for survival is definitely a human right.
