The treatment of women around the world is a very noticeable thing. It is very noticeable how in America, women sports are given less attention and money than men sports. Also you will notice at games, in particular women’s games less people tend to come out and show support unless it is a college game and there are lots of proud parents coming out to support. Men are supposedly valued more highly in society. For other countries, although more women are starting to be educated and starting to obtain more political seats than one would choose to believe, the treatment of women is still absurd universally. Abuse of women sexually, and mentally is a very big issue, in America women are offered more protection than women of other countries. For example, in the article “Treatment of Afghanistan’s Women is the real test of UK aid’s success”, they describe how the women of Afghanistan are treated. This article even quotes show “Afghanistan is one of the worst places to be a woman”. The main point of the article is to express how much progress the UK’s aid has helped Afghanistan to make by helping provide money for schools, helped the markets to succeed, and helped to improve the service the government delivers to the people; however the freedom and rights of Afghan women remain in grave danger. Being a human rather man or woman comes with each of its own difficulties. Women especially have it harder than men, women are not men’s weaker partner, and women just have their strengths in different areas, just as men have their strengths in certain areas. The treatment of women in Afghanistan is inhumane. While it is not necessarily a human right to be treated as if you were the highest of the highest, it is a human right to be treated with respect. If the women of Afghanistan are to “serve” and take care of their men and families, then the men should treat the women with respect. Women should be allowed to receive just as much education as the men are if they are to be able to serve their husbands and be of any help. When women are raped and killed in countries such as these, the countries should make a big deal about these acts, because if the women do not gain the same respects, rights, and freedoms as the men do, soon there will be no women left to uphold the country. Neither woman nor man should have to live in fear of their lives because of their gender, which they played no role in choosing to be for their one life on earth
