Blog#7 Mexico confirms death of feared Zetas cartel leader

Mexico confirmed Tuesday that its forces killed thirty seven year old Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano, reputed boss of the ruthless Zetas cartel, but it remains uncertain what effect, if any, the killing will have on the larger scourge of drug trafficking and violence. Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano was a wanted man in both the U.S and Mexico. Both countries were offering a reward of $7,000,000 for any one who turns him in. He was considered one of the most ruthless drug dealers around the world. He also was a major killer, killing 49 people in Mexico and seventy-two Central and South American migrants, and fifty-two people in a casino by fire. Lazcano was a onetime special forces soldier who became a founding member of the Zetas, a group accused of some of the most violent atrocities that have come to define the drug wars. The Zetas are responsible for smuggling tons of cocaine and other drugs annually to the United States, generating many millions of dollars.
Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano was a big time criminal. He was a very significant man and dangerous man that U.S, but most of all Mexico, wanted off the streets. The guy was good at what he did. To have killed that many people and to gain millions of dollars from drug trade and not get caught right a way, he was an expert at being a criminal. Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano effect not only Mexico, but as this article say, he effected places all over the world. This guy deserved to be off the streets because of the negative effect he had globally. It was obvious that he was a big time criminal, committing crimes on top of crimes, because the the Navy was praised for killing this man. The Navy was praised because now they have no worries of him being on the streets any more. Taking into arrest Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano did not just give up, he and his partner began to go out the hard way by shooting at the forces. I bet that was because they realized that they dug a whole so deep for themselves that the only way out would be death.
